A Tirupur-based garment exporter received a mandatory LCA questionnaire from their German retail buyer as part of the brand's 2025 supplier sustainability program. Non-submission would mean loss of the season's orders.

Conducted a cradle-to-gate LCA per ISO 14040/44 covering cotton farming, spinning, dyeing, finishing and cut-make-trim stages. Identified carbon and water hotspots. Prepared buyer-ready LCA summary report.

Conducted ESG materiality assessment, designed data collection templates for all 9 BRSR principles, collected and verified 3-year baseline data, and prepared the complete BRSR Core report with assurance-ready data trails.

BRSR Core report submitted on time to BSE. First-time submission received positive feedback from institutional investors. ESG rating improved from C to B+ within one reporting cycle.

An electronics importer bringing in laptops, phones and UPS batteries had dual EPR obligations — E-Waste Management Rules and Battery Waste Management Rules 2022 — but had registered for neither.
